Privacy Policy

Simply Sun does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind.

Location

If you choose to use “My Location,” the app reads your device’s location on the device only, to calculate the position of the sun where you are. Your location is never uploaded, stored on a server, or shared with anyone. You can use the app without granting location access by searching for any city instead.

What stays on your device

Your saved cities, settings, and your most recent location are stored locally on your device (and synced to your widgets through your device’s app group). This information never leaves your device.

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Simply Sun never sees your payment details. Apple’s handling of that information is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Third parties

The app bundles an offline city index from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0). This data ships inside the app — no requests are made to GeoNames or any other server while you use it.

Children

Simply Sun collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
